Donore is a village in County Meath, Ireland. It’s a Parish in the diocese of Meath.
Donore takes its name from the Irish word Dun Uabair, which means “The Fort of Pride” and which refers back to the early christian period 400-1200AD when a ring fort was located near the area.

Rossnaree is a small village in County Meath, Ireland. It is in the Civil Parish of Donore in the diocese of Meath.
Rossnaree is situated on the south side of the river Boyne with a view of the ancient monument of Newgrange. It forms the western edge of the parish of Donore. Ros-na-Riogh translates as “Wood of the Kings”.
